Pre-Sales Manager
(Enterprise/ Telco/Govt.)

PRE-REQUISITE:

  • 5+ Years of Experience of handling Enterprise/Telco/govt. clients.
  • Experience in managing a team of presales, technical or solution architects.
  • Solution Designing, Presales on following technologies like Server, Virtualization, Storage, and Backup with basic network concepts.
  • Advanced and Broad knowledge of a range of networking areas such as Network & security strategy and assessment, architecture & design, MPLS, Switching, Telepresence, Wireless, IP Telephony, Firewall etc.
  • Should be able to prepare BOQ basis the solution with competition BOQ's for comparative analysis.
  • Should work closely with Sales team on proposals and pitches for Business.
  • Should attend meetings with Business development managers and acting as a technical expert.
  • Putting together business cases for the internal teams to support their proposals.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions and positioning the desired solution stack.
  • Ensuring that the company’s product can deliver on the customer’s requirements.
  • Replying to customers following requests for information and proposal requests.
  • Pre-sales / bid-team experience including creation of cost models, SOWs, response to RFI/RFP etc.
  • Delivering against challenging time frames.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills for C-Level clients e.g. CIO, CTO, CFO.
  • Strong leadership & analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Skill set that includes technical level experience with one or more of the following vendor products: SonicWall, Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco/SourceFire, Meraki, Sophos, HP/Aruba, Aerohive, Ruckus, etc.
  • Strong knowledge about network protocols, certifications in the area such as CCNA/CCNP, is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage team of Presales Engineers, managers, architects etc.
  • The role involves managing Bids\Proposals\RFP\RFI responses, Presentations/ proposals/ SoWs/ Quotes, preparing for client visits and presenting to clients etc.
  • Collaborates with global Solution partner/OEM to identify win themes and discriminators and incorporates these elements into the proposal
  • Take E2E ownership of the complete technical solution and costing, including managing inputs from business partners and suppliers.
  • Develop and provide technical leadership during pre-sales activities internally and with clients (briefings, workshops, POCs, etc.)
  • Manage contracts, MSAs, SLAs with clients.
  • Help qualify client opportunities from a technical perspective.
  • Good understanding of IT Infrastructure services.
  • Solutions/Service Design dealing with all components of an IT Infrastructure, Transition & Transformation (Technology & Services).
  • Analyze IT Infrastructure product & services requirements for customers and design appropriate cost-effective solutions.
  • Handle escalations from Delivery and cross functions.
  • Handle customer relations and escalations.
  • Contribute in product life cycle management.
  • Need to be mobile and prepared for international travel.

EDUCATION:

BE/B-Tech with MBA preferred.

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS:

Core networking & network security, Server, Storage etc.
